In my own time, I am an avid outdoorsman. I enjoy hiking, canoeing, primitive camping, paintball, and anything else that gets me outdoors and into the woods. My favorite place for many of these activities is Pine Creek Gorge (a.k.a The Pennsylvania Grand Canyon), or other locations in the back country of Tioga County, PA.

Through my college years, I developed a personal interest in computer science, and luckily a number of my closest friends are in that field. Over the years, we have worked together on a number of exciting projects, including building a few computer games (links to info pages and download sites are available below). I am also a history buff, focusing on American Civil War and Grand Siecle through Revolutionary and Restoration Era France. In addition to this site, I run a website dedicated to collecting and indexing information about the artillery branch of service during the American Civil War. That site, the Civil War Artillery Compendium, can also be found on this server.
